GEARY, Okla. (KFOR) - According to the City of Geary, its entire police force resigned at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning. Officials say an interim Chief of Police has been chosen to lead the department effect immediately. The Blaine County Sheriff's Office and the Canadian County Sheriff's Office are also offering assistance. LOCAL NEWS: Okeene Public Schools announce Thursday school closure due to damage from storms "To the Citizens of Geary. We regret to inform you, and we are sad to say that our entire Police Force resigned this morning," said the City. "Considering this information, we were able to quickly secure an interim Chief of Police effective immediately, so the City of Geary is being taken care of without delay. The City says it's operating as normal and residents should call 911 if there is an emergency. No more information is available at this time.
