3 injured after 2 separate shootings in South Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Three people were injured after two separate overnight shootings in the South Memphis area, according to police.
Officers say they responded to the first shooting at the Lamar Crossing apartment complex along Peacock Ridge Place just after 11:30 p.m. A man and a woman were found suffering from gunshot wounds.

They were then both taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.
At 1:13 a.m., officers say they responded to another shooting in the 800 block of East Mclemore Avenue where a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say he was then taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.
Both shootings are still ongoing investigations.
