BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — An Indianapolis man was charged after texting undercover police officers, who he thought was a 15-year-old girl, to meet up for sex in late October. Curt A. Dittmaier, 52, was arrested for Child Solicitation, a Level 4 Felony. According to court documents, Dittamaier created an advertisement on a dating website soliciting sex. A police officer, who identified as a 15-year-old female, responded to the ad. Dittmaier began communicating with the girl which led to her saying that she lives in Bloomington. Through the course of the conversation Dittmaier expressed being nervous, but eventually drove to Bloomington to meet with reported girl. In the conversation, Dittmaier allegedly said, "I remember quite a few years ago I met young girl online and went down to her house on the west side and actually snuck in her bedroom window while her family was home and asleep. Crazy? Yup. But it was also so incredibly exciting." When Dittmaier arrived to Bloomington he felt he was being followed and eventually stopped communicating around 2:07 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop and Dittmaier was transported to the Bloomington Police Department.
