Wisconsin DNR called to assist semi fire that began to spread, semi completely destroyed

DEKORRA, Wis. (WFRV) - On Wednesday, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) was called in to help with a semi that was on fire in the southcentral part of the state when it began to spread to the surrounding area.
According to the Poynette Dekorra Fire Department, crews were sent to WIS 51 around 6:15 a.m. on October 30 in Dekorra for reports of a semi on fire.
Authorities say the fire began to spread to an estimated .1 acre around the semi. The fire began in the engine compartment and it has been deemed a complete loss.

It was noted that the trailer being hauled was empty and the driver of the semi was uninjured.
The Wisconsin DNR and Arlington Fire Department also assisted during the incident.
