EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The Walmart shooting hearing scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 31, is set to move forward after the DA's office asked an appeals court to block the hearing earlier this week.
As we have previously reported, DA Bill Hicks accused Judge Sam Medrano of "failing to review orders he has issued in the case."
The DA's office asked the Eighth Court of Appeals to delay the hearing planned for Thursday and Friday, Nov. 1, which will go over allegations by defense lawyers that prosecutors violated Patrick Crusius' constitutional rights.
The hearing will begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning at the Enrique Moreno County Courthouse and KTSM will be live from the courthouse.
