ROCHESTER, NY (WROC) - Wednesday was warm! The day tied the record high temperature of 78° (1946). It's more of the same through Halloween, but a cold front does approach from the west. We are still in the middle 70s, but unlikely to get to the 80° record from 1971. It's warm and dry through trick-or-treating, but rain breaks into Western New York after 9pm. Expect showers through the overnight, but the boundary is gone by early Friday. Temperatures may peak early before falling through the 50s and 40s throughout the day. Expansive high pressure will push in Saturday and we have clear skies through the weekend. It's cold Saturday with temperatures struggling to get out of the 50s. We have a cold night, then a slight warmup by Sunday with highs in the middle 50s. A warm front will push through Monday and bring some rain showers. Highs are back to near 60° here and we could get even warmer by Election Day Tuesday.
