METAIRIE, La. (BRPROUD) — With each passing week, the Saints have yet to turn it around during their six-game losing streak. Week 8 against the Chargers was supposed to be better because the team was getting a lot of their injured starters back, including four key starters on offense. Yet, New Orleans failed to score a single touchdown. After the loss, the Saints pointed to the lack of attention to the details, such as not using proper technique, penalties, poor tackling or miscommunication. “I think as coaches, we've got to be more detail-oriented in terms of what we're teaching, how we're wanting guys to do things, holding guys accountable to doing those things, the little things the right way," said Saints head coach Dennis Allen. But it's not just the details that are holding the Saints back. "So, there's times where you can be right on with the details and still get beat. I'm not gonna sit here and say it's just attention to detail that's making us lose these games. So, I think we just got to figure it out as a unit and as a group. We have to believe in each other. And I think we've just got to go out there, we got to play 60 minutes. Nobody's coming to save us. Nobody's coming to say, let's not play these last couple of games like. So, we just got to. I go out there each week and find a way to win.” After being benched for five games, the Saints will face Carolina quarterback and former first-overall NFL Draft pick Bryce Young. Young is set to start for the second straight week.
