(KRON) -- Two individuals were arrested for breaking into car windows and removing items from those vehicles early Tuesday morning, the Piedmont Police Department announced. After 5 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Blair Avenue where a resident reported that the crime was happening. Shortly after, officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, a red Toyota Corolla (pictured below), and detained its two occupants. According to PPD, the vehicle was full of "miscellaneous wallets, glasses, backpacks and bags" that belonged to several Piedmont residents. They were also in possession of "window punch tools." In addition to the Corolla, at least two more vehicles were associated with the suspects, police said. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call PPD investigators at 510-420-3000.
