It's something the Nob Hill area has seen before. "Like any district, any location, any city things ebb and flow," said Chief Experience Officer Sharmin Dharas, Hotel Zazz.
This month, three restaurants along Central are closing. Two of which, O'Niells and Slice Parlor, were located in the heart of Nob Hill.
Dharas said supporting local matters now more than ever. "I just wanted to remind fellow Burqueans that Nob Hillanos are here to support, we have tons of neighbors that our supporting us and just don't forget about us and it helps keep our support and local communities alive," said Dharas.
Despite the closures, Dharas wants the community to believe in the area like she does and experience the exciting changes taking place. "We've had so many amazing businesses come in, new ones, businesses that have relocated here and definitely took older positions and older spots and made them something new and fun," said Dharas.
Like Smoky Note, formerly known as Monte Vista. Oak and Ivy took over for Yanni's and the new developments taking place at Hiway House Motel are helping create that diverse mix of old and new. "Growing up here, seeing the beautiful eclectic Nob Hill, there's no other district like it in Albuquerque," said Dharas.
While Dharas is always sad to see businesses go she is excited to see what comes next.
