Susan Shelley (October 27, 2024 – Democrats are back to Hitler) may be on to something.  She contends that former President Trump’s longest serving Chief-of-Staff, John Kelly, is not someone who knows him best.  Shelley speculates that “His family? His longtime business associates? The New York tabloids?” all know Trump better than those who served in his administration. His family? Niece Mary Trump and nephew Fred Trump have not provided glowing insights into the former President. Trump’s sister, Maryanne Trump Barry is on record as saying, “All he wants to do is appeal to his base. He has no principles. None. It’s the phoniness of it all. It’s the phoniness and his cruelty. Donald is cruel.” Business associates? Where do we start? Longtime attorney Michael Cohen?  Former Trump CFO Allen Weisselberg, who was convicted of tax fraud and perjury. Weisselberg served two stints in Rikers Island.  Rudy Giuliani? Shelley thinks the New York tabloids know Trump best.  I’m sure the National Inquirer and New York Post are credible news sources for references on the former President. Let’s remember that JD Vance once referred to Trump as “America’s Hitler.”  Years later, John Kelly simply confirmed JD’s initial opinion.
