WCSO: Two women resist arrest at Sodus School, Resource Officer, Staff member injured

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Two women have been arrested after allegedly being disruptive and refusing to leave from Sodus Intermediate School, injuring a resource officer and a staff member in the process.
According to Wayne County Sheriff's Office, 40-year-old Amy Stephens and 58-year-old Denise Bardin were refusing to leave the school in the front office.
WCSO says when a resource officer was called to the office, he advised the two women to leave, and they become combative with the officer, striking the officer and resisting arrest.
The resource officer as well as a school staff member sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident. MCSO says a kid was also reported inside of the office at the time of the incident but was not harmed.
Stephens was charged with Assault (2nd), Resisting Arrest, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Trespass (3rd). Bardin was charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Trespass (3rd), Obstructing Governmental Administration and Harassment (2nd).
Bardin was released on appearance tickets and will answer charges at the Town of Sodus Court at a later date. Stephens was transported to Wayne County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
