Westfield Police set up barricades to remind drivers of Franklin Street lane pattern

WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - A digital sign was set up recently to remind drivers turning west onto Franklin Street in Westfield begins as one lane.
Now, starting on Wednesday at around 10 a.m., police will be putting barricades and barrels on Franklin Street from Elm Street up to Maple Street to show the one lane of travel.
Crash on Ponders Hollow Road in Westfield sparks fire, power outages
Police say that this portion of Franklin Street is not a new traffic pattern or road diet. They intend to slow drivers down and allow pedestrians to cross safely and vehicles to turn into local businesses safely.
