NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – New data is showing just how ready New Mexico high school graduates are for college. According to new numbers released by ACT, the graduating class of 2024 scored above the national and western regional averages in all test categories for the college readiness assessment. Local students work with Sandia Laboratories for high-altitude balloon research New Mexico students earned a composite average score of 20 compared to the national average of 19.4 and the regional average of 19.3. Scores range from one to 36.
