Two women were arrested near the Glenwild neighborhood in separate incidents over the weekend.Summit County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to an injury accident on Bitner Ranch Road on Sunday, according to a shift report.The woman appeared to be intoxicated when deputies arrived. She agreed to participate in a standardized field sobriety test, which she performed poorly on. Deputies arrested the woman under suspicion of driving under the influence, the report said. Later in the day, law enforcement responded to another injury accident on the roadway. A female passenger mentioned having warrants to deputies during an interview, according to the Sheriff’s Office. A record check was conducted and the woman was found to have active warrants for property damage and assault.She was taken to a hospital to be checked out. The woman was transported to the Summit County Jail once she was medically cleared.The Sheriff’s Office responded to several other calls between Monday, Oct. 21, and Sunday, Oct. 27, including reports of traffic violations, intoxicated persons and trespassing. Sunday, Oct. 27Deputies served a failure to appear warrant on Parleys Loop. Marijuana was observed in plain sight. The subject was arrested and transported to the Summit County Jail.Saturday, Oct. 26A vehicle was stopped near Silver Springs on S.R. 224 for a traffic violation. The driver displayed signs of impairment and a standardized field sobriety test was conducted. The driver failed, and was arrested for suspected DUI. Additional charges for following too close and faulty equipment were also filed.Friday, Oct. 25Deputies were dispatched to the Silver Summit area for a trespassing call. The subject was intoxicated and refused to leave the premises, which he had previously been trespassed from. The subject was taken into custody after being medically cleared. He faces trespassing and intoxication charges.Wednesday, Oct. 23Deputies responded to a traffic accident in Silver Creek. One of the drivers displayed signs of drug-related impairment while deputies were investigating. The man agreed to participate in a standardized field sobriety test and performed poorly. Deputies also searched his car, and found a small amount of methamphetamine as well as numerous items of drug paraphernalia. The man was taken into custody under suspicion of driving under the influence. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving without a valid license and failure to stay in one lane.Tuesday, Oct. 22A suspicious vehicle was observed near the Park City Tech Center. Deputies stopped the driver and observed an open container of alcohol as well as the strong smell of an alcoholic beverage. The driver was asked to participate in a standardized field sobriety test, which she performed poorly on. The driver was arrested for suspected DUI. A blood draw was performed at the Summit County Jail.Monday, Oct. 21Deputies were dispatched to the Redstone area for an intoxicated person. They found a highly intoxicated woman upon their arrival. Emergency medical services attempted to transport the woman to a nearby hospital, but she became noncompliant with staff. Deputies were called and took the woman into custody. While enroute to the Summit County Jail, the woman broke the deputy’s rear window. She was charged with intoxication, theft and destroying government property.A vehicle was stopped near Bear Hollow for a moving violation. Deputies made contact with the driver, who displayed obvious signs of impairment. The driver performed poorly on a standardized field sobriety test. The driver was arrested for suspected drunk driving. An AK-47 style rifle was found in the vehicle and a handgun was located on the suspect. The driver was charged with two or more DUI convictions, possession of a dangerous weapon and unsafe lane travel.Illegal narcotics were found during a traffic stop.
