(WGNO) — A Lockport man has been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and domestic abuse incident that was reported on Oct. 28, 2024. According to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office, shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Monday, deputies learned of a domestic incident in Raceland. A woman was reportedly asleep at a friend's house on Saint Ann Street when 30-year-old Brian Curole allegedly went into the home, grabbed the woman by her ankles as well as her hair, and began dragging her out of bed. Body of missing teen found in Terrebonne Parish, two arrested Curole is accused of demanding that the woman get into his vehicle and threatening physical violence if she didn't. LPSO deputies said the woman complied to avoid being injured further. Brian Curole (Courtesy: Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office) LPSO officials say that Curole allegedly brought the victim to a home for a while before returning to the vehicle and heading to U.S. Highway 90 in Raceland. On the highway, Curole reportedly kept the passenger door locked, threw the woman's cellphone from the car window and hit her several times in the head. The woman reportedly tried to scream for help and flag down other drivers. Officials say Curole eventually dropped her off in the Gheens area. 17-year-old arrested, accused in Kenner sex crimes investigation With the help of the Lockport Police Department, Curole was found and arrested on Monday. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux and charged with simple kidnapping, domestic abuse battery and interfering with emergency communications. Curole's bail is set to $150,000, and he is additionally being held for Louisiana Probation and Parole due to a parole violation.
