TN attempted murder suspect captured in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- After 10 days on the run, a Humboldt, Tennessee man accused of attempted first-degree murder was captured by U.S. Marshals in Memphis on Tuesday.
Antonio Pewitte, 37, is accused of stabbing his ex-girlfriend outside of her workplace earlier this month.

On October 19, the Bells Police Department investigated an incident where it was alleged that Pewitte waited outside his ex-girlfriend's place of employment.
As she entered the building, police said Pewitte approached her from behind and allegedly stabbed her multiple times in the face and head with a knife.
The U.S. Marshals Service Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force was requested to locate and apprehend Pewitte.
On Tuesday morning, U.S. Marshals learned that Pewitte was in Memphis. With the help of the Memphis Police and Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension teams, U.S. Marshals went to a residence in the 2200 block of Falling Oak Way.
There, they were able to safely take Pewitte into custody and took him to the Bells Police Department.
