Windy and warm again, rain chance late tomorrow
Oct 29, 2024
The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5...
Welcome to the record books, as we have taken down many daytime high temperature records. We have also just experienced the latest 80 degree day we have ever seen in Northeast Wisconsin. It has also been a breezy day, with wind gusts hitting 30-35mph in some spots today.
Overnight, clouds will take over the area and it will remain warm and windy. Lows will be in the middle to upper 60s. We could actually set another record, and that being the warmest low temperature we have seen. I have us at 65 degrees in Green Bay, the record is 59 set back in 1946!
Tomorrow will start off dry with mostly cloudy skies. Winds will remain breezy out of the SW gusting to 30-35mph, maybe even 40 mph. Highs tomorrow will be in the middle and upper 70s and will be chasing more daytime high temperature records.
A cold front will set off a line of showers and a few thunderstorms late in the afternoon tomorrow. No severe weather is expected, but isolated heavy downpours are expected. Chance of rain will continue through the overnight hours.
Thursday is Halloween, and another batch of showers and a few rumbles of thunder are possible. Highs much cooler in the 50s and 60s. Plan to have some rain gear handy for trick or treating as a few showers could remain especially north of Green Bay. As the cool air rushes in, a few wet flakes are possible in our far northern counties.
Rainfall totals look to be on the order of a quarter to three quarters south of Green Bay, but North and West of the valley, 1-2.5in are possible. This is where the highest drought is at this time.
Friday looks sunny, less windy and seasonal. Better weekend day will be Saturday before more rain is expected Sunday through Tuesday.
