32 found, taken into custody in alleged 'human smuggling' house

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) - A total of 32 subjects were taken into custody on Thursday, Oct. 24 after they were found in a house allegedly used for "human smuggling purposes," Chief Jason Owens announced Tuesday, Oct. 29 on its X account.

On Oct. 24, U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) agents and the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) responded to a house in El Paso after receiving information about a location being used for human smuggling purposes, according to Owens.
Owens said the 32 people found will be processed for removal.
