Pueblo issues emergency declaration for housing and shelter

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Due to low temperatures, Pueblo Mayor Heather Graham has issued a declaration of temporary housing and shelter emergency for the City beginning Tuesday, Oct. 29.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will drop to 35°F on Tuesday night with wind gusts up to 35 mph and a slight chance of rain and snow. The low-temperature trend will continue throughout the week with lows in the 30's and 40s'.
The emergency declaration begins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and ends at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5. During this emergency. local churches, synagogues, mosques, temples, and other religious institutions may use their buildings as temporary shelters for the City's homeless.
