A man was arrested Monday for suspicion of domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report. Deputies were dispatched at 4:45 p.m. to a North Carson Street address in reference to a domestic battery. Deputies met with the reporting party who identified herself, had tears running down her face and was visibly emotional, the report states. She stated she and her ex-boyfriend got into an argument and that there were incidents where she and him were arguing in the day. The arguments escalated where she said he pushed her to the ground, pushed her with one hand on her face, causing her glasses to fall off to the ground. She said he left and walked out to his vehicle. She stated she followed and got into the front passenger of the vehicle and threw his phone out of the vehicle window. Both got out of the vehicle, where she said he retrieved his phone and stated he slammed her against the front of her residence, according to the report. The woman showed the deputy bruising that was consistent with tight grabbing under her right bi-cep and well as bruising along her left arm and right arm. There was a scrape on her left elbow area that she stated was from the siding of her residence as she said she was pushed against it. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying. The officer did not see any visible injuries to her face. She stated she did not believe she sustained any injuries when she said the man pushed her by her face, the report states. A deputy spoke with two neighbors nearby who stated they heard the altercation. One neighbor stated they heard yelling and screaming and later a loud slamming noise. Another neighbor advised they watched through a window as the two were arguing. The witness advised the he saw the man push the woman, causing her to slam against the side of the residence, the report states. A deputy spoke with the suspect, who explained the incidents as officers had been told, admitting to yelling, screaming and getting angry, however he stated he never pushed or physically contacted the woman during the argument, according to the report. Based on the physical evidence of bruising as well as witness testimony and an eyewitness of the man shoving the woman, the man was arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail: $3,137. In other arrests: — A 49-year-old woman was arrested Monday for suspicion of DUI drugs and failure to yield to law enforcement, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report. A deputy was dispatched at 5:50 p.m. to the 1400 block of Research Way regarding an intoxicated person. Dispatch advised a reporting party said a woman exited a sedan, went inside a store and was slurring her words, the report states. While enroute, the deputy observed the sedan matching the description provided by the reporting party. The sedan was stopped at a red light. The deputy observed the female was slumped over looking down. The deputy marked their patrol vehicle behind the suspect vehicle. When the light turned green the driver continued westbound on College Parkway and went to turn onto I-580 to go southbound. When the light turn green, the deputy activated their red and blue lights to conduct a traffic stop, the report states. The driver continued southbound on I-580. The deputy activated their sirens and the driver continued southbound. The deputy advised dispatch the driver was failing to yield. The driver drove on the shoulder with her turn signal on and slowed down but did not come to a complete stop, the report states. The driver took the Highway 50 East exit and continued westbound on William Street. Her speed slowed to approximately 22 mph. She turned right onto Russell and then into a parking lot in the 2200 block of East William and stopped. The officer drew their agency-issued firearm and gave the woman verbal commands to exit the vehicle and walk back toward the officer. The woman did so without incident. At this time she was detained. The deputy went to speak with the woman and asked if she had any alcoholic beverages. The woman said no. She had thick, slurred speech and watery, glazed eyes. The woman could not balance and was swaying back and forth, the report states. The deputy read the woman medical questions for standardized field sobriety tests. The woman's stated she knew she was in Carson City, stated it was 8 p.m. (the time was 6:12 p.m.). The deputy asked if she had ben drinking and she said no. She said she had back surgery and hip surgery in 2021. She said she took multiple prescriptions for scleroderma and for other medical issues she had, the report states. The woman showed signs of impairment on the field sobriety tests. She provided a breath sample with a 0.000 result. She was arrested for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI drugs and failure to yield to law enforcement. — A 39-year-old woman, Nicole Georgene Boykin, was arrested Monday for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
