LPSO: Multiagency drug investigation leads to drug bust in Albany

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office was conducting an investigation that led to a drug bust in Albany.
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard posted to social media about a huge drug bust where deputies were able to seize over 1,000 fentanyl pills and large amounts of methamphetamine at a location off Louisiana Highway 190 in Albany.
Ard said after conducting search warrants of two homes, multiple vehicles were seized and multiple arrests were made.
In a video posted to Facebook, Ard shows the pills and a powder substance thrown in the woods near a residential area.
No further details were released.
Ard said other agencies involved in the investigation include the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
