Man found dead in vehicle that crashed into mobile home in El Cajon

One person was detained early Tuesday in El Cajon in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man who was found dead in a vehicle that crashed into a mobile home, city police said.
The victim, identified as a 28-year-old man who lived in incorporated El Cajon, was found by police sometime after 4:40 a.m. when officers were called to a mobile home park on Shady Lane regarding a fight.
When officers arrived on scene they found that a vehicle had crashed into a mobile home unit. No one inside the home was injured, but the driver of the vehicle was unresponsive and eventually pronounced dead at the scene.

A 26-year-old man who resided in the mobile home park, who was found with a head injury from the reported fight, was identified as a suspect in the stabbing and detained for questioning after being treated at a hospital.
He had not been arrested by late Tuesday morning.
The incident remains under investigation.
