SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – A sentencing hearing has been set for a Chatham County mother convicted of killing her young son, Quinton Simon, and throwing his body away in a dumpster. Leilani Simon is expected to appear before Judge Tammy Stokes on Nov. 21 at 10:30 a.m., according to court records. She faces life in prison. The trial lasted 10 days as the jury heard from over 30 witnesses. Simon reported 20-month-old Quinton missing on Oct. 5. His remains were found weeks later on Nov. 18 in a Chatham County landfill.
