Overnight shooting at Nutbush gas station leaves victim critical

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A victim was left severely injured after an overnight shooting at a gas station in Nutbush.
Around 12:20 a.m., officers say they responded to an aggravated assault involving firearms being discharged at the Exxon gas station on 3388 Macon Road.
Police say a victim was found at the intersection of Macon Road and North Holmes Street suffering from three gunshot wounds. The victim was shot in the finger of the left hand, left elbow, and left hip.

The victim told police their ex-girlfriend fired the shots after an argument broke out between them due to a recent break-up. However, the victim says the brother and son were also on the scene.
A witness told police that a young man with a black top and bottom fired the shots. Video footage in the area also showed a man with a black beanie, black shirt, and blue jeans firing shots at the victim while running away.
This is still an ongoing investigation.
