LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Two people arrested during a significant drug bust in Laurel County are set to appear in court next week. According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old Jamie Deaton and 31-year-old Alicia Isom were taken into custody on Friday following a two-month investigation into alleged drug trafficking activities. Deputies reported finding substantial amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamine, various pills, drug paraphernalia, and more than $43,000 in cash during a search of their home on Roy Dugger Road. Both suspects are facing drug trafficking charges. Court records indicate that Deaton and Isom are scheduled for a preliminary hearing next Wednesday as authorities continue their investigation into the case.
