Isolated showers return, but still not enough to help
Oct 29, 2024
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- This is what we have been waiting for, unfortunately, it just doesn't seem like it will be enough to make a huge impact on the dry conditions that has plagued most of Texas.
Still, any rain is welcomed rain and as of now a majority of it looks like it should remain early in the day with clearer skies towards the afternoon.
Cold front arriving in Texas
A front will swing by Thursday bringing a decent round of rainfall but should clear up as the afternoon arrives, which is something many kids will be happy about.
Low risk of severe storms early Thursday morning
Friday into the Weekend
Additional periods of rain and storms look to be with us Friday through the weekend and into early next week. For now, Saturday stands out as having our highest chances for rain during this period.
By late Monday most areas in Central Texas should have picked up between half an inch and an inch and a half of rainfall. There will be some higher exceptions, but most of us should end up within that range.
Stay with the First Warning Weather Team as we fine tune the timing of each individual round of rain.
