Traffic stop leads to arrests, drug siezures

Orangeburg Co., SC (WOLO) — The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men accused of trafficking drugs after the duo was pulled over for a traffic stop. Authorities say they pulled over a 2010 Nissan Sentra for a license plate violation while they were driving along Old Number Six highway /Capron Street near Vance, South Carolina around 11pm October 18. After pulling the vehicle over, deputies say they found a dark gray bookbag under the front seat floorboard of the car.
According to warrants obtained by ABC Columbia News, deputies discovered 45 pills officials say appeared to be MDMA also known as ecstacy, roughly 42 grams of what appe
ared to be marijuana, 20 grams of what appeared to be crack cocaine as well as a 9mm handgun, a loaded magazine, a scale and more than $5,000 in cash.
As a result of the traffic stop, deputies arrested 21 year old Quamaine Council who now faces several charges including possession with intent to distribute marijuana, trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking MDMA or ecstasy, and two counts of unlawful carrying of a pistol, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Deputies say a second occupant in the car, 29 year old Marquise White is facing the same charges in addition to two additional counts of resisting arrests.
