A 62 year old truck driver from Winner received minor injuries in a single vehicle crash this morning (Oct. 28, 2024, 7:41am) seven miles south of Midland. The names of those involved have not been released. Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol indicates the driver of a 2023 Freightliner (M2106) was traveling north on South Dakota Highway 63, near mile marker 91. The truck went off the roadway to the right and the driver over-corrected. The truck rolled onto its right side, coming to rest in the southbound lanes. The driver sustained minor injuries. The road was temporarily blocked until the crash site was cleared. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
