AM Headlines: Cooler Start to the Week Midweek Warm Up Friday Cold Front Discussion: This weekend brought an end to the measurable rain drought for Charlotte with 0.19″ of rainfall — ending the 24 day streak without measurable rain since .01″ fell on Oct 2. This weekend also brough the biggest temperature change with a 22 degree drop from 85 on Saturday to just 63 for the high Sunday. The work week will start off cool with temps reaching the upper 60s to lower 70s under mostly to partly cloudy skies. High pressure will begin to scoot off the mid-Atlantic coast leading to some more peeks of sunshine this afternoon. It will be chilly again tonight with temps falling into the 40s, but temps will warm back near 70 Tuesday afternoon has a ridge of high pressure begins to build into the southeast. This will ultimately lead to a nice warming trend for the rest of the week. Highs will reach the upper 70s to near 80 with overnight lows falling into the upper 50s to lower 60s. This also means a fantastic forecast for the trick-or-treaters on Thursday. It will be dry with daytime highs near 80 and overnight lows falling to near 70. A cold front won’t have much moisture to work with Friday, so rain chances will be slim to none for the week, but it will bring cooler temps this weekend with highs in the low 70s and overnight lows tumbling back into the low 50s.
