BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A study shows a little over half of Louisiana residents take a nap during work.
Researchers for MattressNextDay have gathered data on the states that take the most naps across the United States.
From the data collected, Louisiana ranked seventh as the worst state to take a nap. The data was rated on a scale out of 50, with Louisiana scoring 38.
The factors included how many people nap daily, how many people nap for 15-30 minutes, how many people nap at work or school, how many people were caught napping at work, how many people use naps to avoid social obligations and how many people feel guilty about napping during work hours.
For each category, Louisiana answered the following answers:
Napping daily: 5.26%
Nap for 15-30 minutes: 58.82%
Nap at work/school: 52.63%
Caught napping at work/school: 30%
Nap to avoid social obligation: 60%
Guilty for napping during work hours: 90%
The worst state to nap is North Dakota with a score of 45.26 out of 50.
