SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - On the final days leading up to Halloween, last-minute shoppers are hitting costume stores with hopes of finding something to be on the spookiest night of the year. "I'm just picking out a scary mask for this Halloween and piecing it with my nike tech," shared Springfield resident Radelle Hubbard. Some shoppers choosing to create their very own costume, while others are desperate to find the final zombie or skeleton hanging in store. "I'm getting the dollar sign, and maybe like a...gold top," expressed Kate Socha of Springfield. "I feel like it's more unique by making it than buying an actual costume." Though with it almost time to trick or treat, some of the top costumes may no longer be instore. According to Google's annual "Frightgeist List," those include Red from Descendants, Dr. Doom and Kidpool among kids. For adults, some of the costumes trending are Shrunken Head Bob and Australian break dancer Raygun. There is a trick tough, all of the costumes mentioned can be made. The best place to find those items include your local thrift store and sometimes asking a family or friend for an item to borrow. This Halloween alone Americans are expected to spend nearly $4-billion on Halloween costumes.
