GRANDY, N.C. (WAVY) -- A SONIC Drive-In in Grandy, North Carolina, donated $10,000 to local public schools. The SONIC Drive-In located at 6453 Caratoke Highway was selected in this year's top 12 crews in the nation for customer service. Each year, thousands of SONIC Drive-In crews across the country compete against each other over for several months in a series of trainings and competitions. In honor of this achievement and to further the Grandy Drive-In's commitment to its community, the SONIC Foundation is contributing funding to classroom projects in the area, which were submitted by local public school teachers through Donors Choose.
