ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Cyclists were encouraged to break a sweat and have some fun at the 18th Day of the Tread event. The event benefited the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation's adaptive cycling team, the Treadsetters. Both organizations said they are passionate about getting kids healthy, off their devices, and out into the fresh air. We just want to keep kids moving, so there's a greater wellness in our community," said Day of the Tread Founder Mark Gundlach. Racers won a participation medal, bragging rights, and a free race shirt. The fun wrapped up at Sawmill Market on Sunday evening.
