PORTALES, N.M. (KRQE) – Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) renamed its campus broadcast center in honor of a professor's commitment.
Duane W. Ryan, the director of Broadcasting at ENMU for over 50 years, brought public television and national public radio to the journalism department, adding a level of prestige to the program.

"So, what does it take to realize a dream? Fifty-five years of passion, commitment, hard work, countless hours of leading, innovating, teaching, encouraging, and advocating for that dream. Across decades of his leadership, Mr. Ryan created more than a broadcast center. He created a space that inspired staff, faculty, and students at ENMU," said ENMU Chancellor Dr. James Johnston.
University officials said they celebrated 50 years of excellence and were able to honor a legacy that continues today.
