INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever let go of head coach Christie Sides on Sunday. According to the Indiana Fever's website, this change occurred following Sides becoming the first coach in WNBA history to be named WNBA Coach of the Month back in August, as well as bringing forth two consecutive WNBA Rookies of the Year (Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark, respectively). Per Fever President of Basketball Operations Kelly Krauskopf, “We are incredibly thankful to Coach Sides for embracing the challenge of leading us through an integral transition period over the last two seasons, while also positioning us well for future growth." Krauskopf added that the decision to let go of Sides was not an easy task, but the Fever said they are goal-driven towards "...maximizing our talent and bringing another WNBA championship back to Indiana." "Coach Sides was an incredible representative of the Fever and our community, and we wish her nothing but success in the future," Krauskopf added.
