Election 2024: Two levies on the ballot for Bainbridge Township

Bainbridge Township has two levies that will be on the ballot this year in the November election.
The township’s voters will consider a 5-year, 2-mill renewal levy for streets, roads and bridges, as well as a 5-year, 2.75-mill additional levy for fire and EMS.
According to the Geauga County Auditor, the renewal levy will collect $1,079,000 annually, amounting to $38 for each $100,000 residential property valuation. Should the levy pass, it will commence in 2025 and will be first due in 2026.
The additional levy that will be on the ballot will collect $2,262,000 annually, amounting to $96 for each $100,000 residential property valuation. Should the levy pass, it will commence in 2024 and will be first due in 2025.
According to the Geauga County Elections Board, there are currently 10,171 registered voters in Bainbridge Township.
