Photo by Stephen Maturen/Getty Images Which Detroit Lions player will be key to avoided any upset against the Tennessee Titans. It’s “Any Given Sunday” in the NFL, so the 5-1 Detroit Lions cannot afford to take the 1-5 Tennessee Titans too lightly this week. If there’s anything we know about Dan Campbell-led teams, it’s that they seem to be emotionally charged in just about every possible situation. That shouldn’t be a problem this week. But that doesn’t mean it’s a guaranteed win for the Lions this week. The Titans have themselves a pretty darn good defense, and they can run the ball a little bit. Meanwhile, the Lions find themselves without Jameson Williams on offense and Josh Paschal on defense. They won’t be 100 percent, but they could certainly handle a Titans team that has struggled to hold early leads. So today’s Question of the Day is: Which Lions player will be key to victory over the Titans? My answer: Jahmyr Gibbs. The Titans are pretty fierce up the middle on defense—although that could be in jeopardy if second-round rookie defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat is out (he’s listed as questionable). However, they’re a little vulnerable on the edges of their defense, and they’re also going to be shorthanded at both cornerback (due to injury) and linebacker (due to trades). That could make this another big game for Gibbs, who is coming off one of the best performances of his young career. As I pointed out in my On Paper preview, the Titans rank 22nd in pass defense DVOA vs. running backs, and Gibbs has 11 catches in his past two games. The stars could be aligned for Gibbs to take over for the second straight week against a tough defense. Which Lions player do you think is key to victory vs. the Titans?
