ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – It was a day of learning and loving for the Love Fellowship Center's Women's Conference in Rochester Saturday. The focus this year called 'Conquering Cancer' was formed from a variety of longtime connections, friendships and community partnerships. Sylvia Johnson is the director at the cancer support community at Gilda's Club and teamed up with her longtime friend, Aretha Mclamore, who runs a catering business and has also been taking part in cooking demos of healthy meals for the BIPOC program. All of this led to a day of getting the word out. The 'Conquering Cancer Women's Conference' event also included sessions of financial literacy, healing diseases and mindful thoughts.
