ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – UNM entered the week as one of the highest scoring offenses in the country after three consecutive 50-point performances. That came to a close on Saturday with a 17-6 loss to Colorado State. While the Lobos were able to move the ball for 453 yards, drives routinely fizzled out. The team struggled with turnovers as quarterback Devon Dampier threw two interceptions and the team lost two fumbles. Penalties were also an issue, as the Lobos had ten. The teams leading receiver on the season, Luke Wysong, left the game in the first quarter with a lower leg injury and never returned. He was seen on the sidelines in a boot. In Wysong's absence, Ryan Davis had a career day with 9 catches for 146 yards. UNM's leading rusher was Eli Sanders with 70 yards on 15 attempts. Full stats. With the loss, UNM's record falls to 3-5. Up next is a home game against Wyoming next Saturday at 2 p.m.
