NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Taylor Swift is not only taking over the Superdome, but the food scene in New Orleans. In honor of her concerts, District Donuts Sliders Brew introduced nine new Swifty donuts. Owner Chris Audler says that, for months, his team has been preparing. Taylor Swift fans kicked off night one of concerts "Everything from the pastries' creams, to the buttercreams to the sprinkles, we make everything in-house. So, yeah, it's been a culmination of a few months of trying to think through what those flavors would be. Everyone suggested their favorite songs that could be turned into a donut or pastry-inspired items," said Audler. All the "Swiftie" doughnuts are named after one of Swift's songs. One employee says with the number of fans grabbing a donut. He's even become a fan of the music. "It gets so busy, it makes your mind really want to go to a bit of a blank space. But honestly, all you can really do is just shake it off and just keep moving, you know? You know, I knew going into this week, I was like, I knew this was going to be trouble, but, uh, so far no bad blood," said employee Jean-Pierre Eoudreaus. One fan says her favorite donut reminds her of Swift's album, Lover. She is happy to be able to enjoy Taylor Swift activities outside of the dome. Taylor Swift mania also leads to Second Harvest contributions "I thought it was very exciting, I mean, I am a big Taylor Swift fan, so it was fun to be able to experience it outside of the concert," said Charlotte. Audler says the themed donuts have him ready for the next big event in the city. "The buzz from the tourists has been wild. I mean, I haven't seen anything like this in a very long time in New Orleans, so it's pretty incredible," said Audler.
