Both men were transported to an area hospital after police found them. IMPD reported that the victims are both in critical condition. Police believe the men were injured in the same shooting. Investigators reported that the incident unfolded outside a grocery store in the area. IMPD could not confirm what the victims' relationship with each other was. Police aren't sure if the victims were injured while shooting at each other or if additional parties were involved in the incident. During a media briefing, IMPD Sergeant William Young reported that police are looking for tips or security camera video that might shed additional light on the shooting because the incident unfolded in a highly traveled area. Law enforcement encourages those with information on the incident to call IMPD at (317) 327-3475. Alternatively, tipsters who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana by calling (317) 262-8477, using the P3Tips mobile app or visiting www.CrimeTips.org. "It's certainly disturbing," Young said of the shooting. "It's a nice day. We have kids in this particular neighborhood. I have family in this particular neighborhood, myself. It's certainly disturbing, and hopefully we'll be able to figure out what occurred. "It always goes back to what we talk about every time, and that's conflict resolution. Whatever it is, it can't be that serious to where you have to pull out a firearm and hurt someone." As of this article's publication, no additional information on the incident had been made available. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
