Lake County Public Libraries migrating to a new library catalog, getting new app
Oct 26, 2024
All Lake County Public Libraries, as part of the Clevnet consortium, will be migrating to a new library catalog on Oct. 28, and along with this migration comes a new library app, replacing the Clevnet app, called Aspen LiDA.
This migration will bring a better online browsing experience to library users, according to a news release. All current checkouts, holds, and lists will carry over to the new system.
When patrons log in to the new catalog, they will sign in with their library card number and PIN, the release stated.
Other features include visually browsing staff-created lists, the ability to view, manage, and check out ebooks all in one place, recommendations, continued ease with creating, managing, and sharing lists, search saving to track favorite authors, series, and formats, and responsive viewing on any mobile device or table, according to the release.
This new app will not replace other library apps like Hoopla and Libby.
The Lake County Public Libraries consist of Fairport Harbor Public Library, Kirtland Public Library, Madison Public Library, Mentor Public Library, Morley Library, Perry Public Library, Wickliffe Public Library, and Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library.
