Four hospitalized after Lake Avenue crash

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Officers with the Rochester Police Department were called to a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning on Lake Avenue in Rochester just before 8 a.m.
Officers say the driver of a Chrysler sedan was heading southbound on Lake Avenue and crossed over the centerline with the intention of overtaking an uninvolved vehicle which was also heading southbound.
"When the Chrysler crossed the centerline, it struck a 2019 Kia Sportage, which was traveling, northbound," officers said.
Crews with the Rochester Fire Department and multiple EMS agencies responded to assist the RPD officers at the scene.
Officres say the driver of the Chrysler is a 19-year-old male from Webster. He was taken to URMC for treatment for a leg injury. His injury is not life-threatening.
According to the RPD, the passengers of the Chrysler are two 21-year-old men, and they had minor injuries. Both men were taken to URMC.
Officers say the driver of the Kia is a 26-year-old man from Brockport. He was taken to Rochester General Hospital for complaints of pain.
Officers say the investigation is still underway with regards to possible charges and citations.
