Bicyclist struck by vehicle near Hamliton Trenton border

HAMILTON — A bicyclist suffered a medical emergency after being struck by a vehicle early Saturday morning.
A crumpled bicycle remained in the intersection of S.Clinton Ave. and Chambers St. near the Trenton-Hamilton border as firefighters attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation before EMS technicians arrived and made efforts to save the male victim.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m.. Police did not confirm whether a black van with front end damage had been involved.

Onlookers watched as life-saving techniques lasted for 10 minutes before rescuers placed his body on a stretcher and placed him inside a RWJBarnabas medical transport vehicle.
