EASTHAMPTON, Mass. (WWLP) - BankESB is inviting the community to a free shred day at their Easthampton office on Saturday. CHD to host open house for new behavioral health clinic in Easthampton BankESB is offering free shred days so people can stay on top of their shredding habits and keep their identity, finances, and family safe. It is recommended to shred sensitive pieces of information, such as credit card statements, tax-related documents, and identity cards. There are some specific documents worthy of shredding, however. Junk mail, receipts, medical prescription labels, photo and old IDs, travel itineraries, shipping labels, memos, and notes, resumes, CVs, bank statements, and canceled checks should all be shredded. Anything that contains your name, address, phone number, and bank information puts you at risk of getting information stolen. Play it safe, and take proactive steps to protect yourself. A professional document destruction company will be on-site in the bank’s parking lot in Easthampton and can accept up to two boxes of documents per person. No appointment is necessary. The shredding event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., or until the truck is full.
