RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was apprehended in Raleigh Thursday after being on the run from attempted murder charges in New Jersey, an official with the U.S. Marshals said. Around 1:30 p.m., court documents in Wake County showed 23-year-old Justice Rahjon King of Paterson, NJ, was in custody at Wake County Detention Center for homicide. He was arrested without incident on the 500 block of Montague Lane in Raleigh. According to the official, King was wanted for four counts of attempted murder and unlawful possession of a handgun by the Patterson Police Department. The official went on to say in addition to Paterson police, King was located and arrested following a collaborative effort by the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Raleigh Police Department. Court documents showed that King signed a waiver of extradition and remained in Wake County custody.
