LANCASTER, S.C. – One person died and four others were transported to the hospital following a car crash in Lancaster on Friday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Around 8:30 p.m., a Toyota SUV was traveling north on Old Hickory Road near Boxcar Road. Troopers said the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and a tree before overturning. One person died from the crash. Four other occupants in the vehicle were transported to the hospital for their injuries. This crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
