FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - A man is in life-threatening condition after a crash early Saturday morning. The crash happened near the intersection of Scott and Covington Roads just before 1 a.m. According to the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD), an iPhone alert stating the owner had possibly been in a severe vehicle accident was received by police. When officers arrived on scene they found the vehicle approximately 60 yards off the road. Investigators believe that the vehicle was traveling south on Scott Road when it left the roadway at the intersection for an unknown reason. Medics and the Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) provided medical assistance at the scene. The driver, a male, and sole occupant of the vehicle was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. His identity was not release. It's not known whether drugs or alcohol may have been a factor This incident remains investigation.
