Woman arrested after pursuit in connection with hitandrun crash in North Beach

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A woman was arrested for her alleged involvement in a hit-and-run crash in North Beach on Thursday evening, the San Francisco Police Department said. The victim of the crash, a bicyclist, had non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened at Taylor Street and Beach Street at about 6:34 p.m. SFPD officers arrived to find the victim on the ground.

Officers spotted a vehicle that matched the description of the suspect vehicle going eastbound on Jefferson Street.
Police pursued the suspect car until it lost control on Muni tracks and crashed into a business on the 1800 block of Montgomery Street.
The adult female suspect was caught on foot and arrested. Police did not identify her.
The crash was part of a recent uptick in crashes involving pedestrians and/or cyclists in San Francisco. A pedestrian was struck and killed near UCSF's campus on Tuesday, and another pedestrian was killed in the Western Addition neighborhood Friday morning.
