Israeli defense forces begin retaliatory strikes on Iran
Oct 25, 2024
(CNN) — Israeli defense forces have been making retaliatory strikes on Iran directed at military targets early Saturday local time there.
Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was photographed in a bunker in Tel Aviv’s Kirya military base early Saturday during the attack.
Netanyahu was seen consulting with Israel’s Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and other military officials.
for its part, Iranian state-run press tv reported Saturday that “several sounds of explosions” heard in Tehran.
Iranian security sources indicated those were related to the country’s air defense systems, not necessarily Israeli missile strikes.
earlier in October, iran fired a barrage of missiles at Israel after the killing of Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah.
